Leather and bolts of cloth could be stored, particularly for families with younger children who will outgrow and perhaps outwear their present clothes. (He then quoted Wilford Woodruff) “The day will come…..when, as we have been told, we shall all see the necessity of making our own shoes and clothing and raising our own food.”
